THE LEGEND

of the Bowl of Light

There is an old Hawaiian legend often represented by the gift of a wooden bowl, known as our bowl of light.  According to legend, we all come into the world with a bowl of light. The light in our bowl nourishes us along our way, but things may happen as we grow. We may experience grief or pain, lie or steal, develop fears or become quick to anger. Whenever we step into negative polarities, it is as though we put a stone in our bowl, and some of that light is dimmed. Eventually we reach a point where our bowl is overflowing and the light goes out. What can we do?

We simply... clear it out!

In Hawaiian, this is called KALA - the cleansing.

After we are compelled to live our lives differently.

We move on with more awareness, more compassion,

and a brighter, clearer light - braided with the cords of aloha.

The kahunas teach that all spiritual warriors walk the path

constrained by three spiritual directives:

“LOVE ALL THAT YOU SEE WITH HUMILITY.”

“LIVE ALL THAT YOU FEEL WITH REVERENCE."

"KNOW ALL THAT YOU POSSESS WITH DISCIPLINE."

This is the path and my practice. I do what I can to stay aligned with these directives and be of service in clearing out the Bowl of Light - KALA. In our work together, we use techniques known as the Emotion Code, the Body Code and Emotional Kinesiology to help locate and release the 'stones' blocking inner light from radiating out to everything around you.

It is our objective to keep the Bowl of Light clear and open to embody all the light that we are. It is then we become the recipients and vessels for joy-like state of being. I'm honored to be of service to those who find me here. Many thanks!
